Republican leadership is going to fund sanctuary cities in the must-pass spending bill next week, giving Democrats a huge victory while simultaneously undercutting conservatives who put them in power, a senior GOP aide told The Daily Caller News Foundation. House and Senate leadership has rolled over and played dead on border security. When it comes to a border wall, they say it is not our problem. When it comes to funding sanctuary cities, they say it is not our problem. What they are essentially saying is we are going to pass bills with more Democrats than Republicans, the aide told TheDCNF. This is a sign to administration that leadership doesnt care what the White House wants. Even though GOP members ran on these issues. Conservatives mean it. The administration means it.

What, did Republicans and Trump lose the election?! Why is McConnell and Ryan rolling on this? Trump should draw a line and say no funds, else veto and call for replacements to these two failed leaders. It is time he start playing hardball.
The GOP has very little sand left in its hourglass.
You nailed it. They are working to lose the House and then they can sit back in the comfy chairs and just go along for the ride while claiming they tried.
THIS is why they will lose the House.
They are doing it on purpose.
..... So in a sense .... Because of our lack of something called "Teamwork" to maintain conservative constitutional principles .... The GOP is not willing to do what it takes to do such, and as a result .... The Whiners win .... and we create the environment that spawns the nation of Snowflakes which is now the future generation of American values.
.... Yup ... Nice Going.
One term in office,
Two terms in Jail!!
Veto time.
So GOO uses our hard- earned money, that they take away from us by force of arms, to import or keep criminals in our midst, including Muslim murder gangsters - no wonder we cant get much accomplished. Time to buy some more firearms and give them to every good American we can
No leadership and no cajones....
Thanks to Ryan and McConnell
GOO ? GOP.
Is that why there are so man Republican seats that are not opposing Democrat running for the office.

Now maybe there is time before they have to register before the primary, or not? I was shocked, but it is a Feb 2018 list. There are a whole lot less Republicans with no opposition, than Democrats. Or is it me?
There are 45 slots w no Republican running, that can’t be right??
No, Newt would be on that couch with Pelosi extolling the virtues of the bipartisanship theyd achieved - in screwing the country with carbon taxes and similar measures.
And validates those FReepers who still assure us that they’ll only vote for Republicans because... something.
If they only knew how hated they really are.
Boy they sure are busy. Sanctuary cities, taxing the internet. what’s next gun confiscation?
I wish I could say what I think about them or what should happen to them however I don’t want to be banned so I will keep my mouth shut.
Along the same lines, an email from NumbersUSA tonight:
“This Issue: Pro-amnesty Republican introduces Resolution to force a floor vote on Rep. Goodlatte’s H.R. 4760 ... but there’s a twist
Fri, Mar 16th
“DACA UPDATE: This morning, we asked many of you to call GOP Congressional Leaders urging them not to include a DACA amnesty in the must-pass spending bill. Thanks to everyone who has taken action! As soon as we know more about the situation, we’ll let you know.
“Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) introduced a House Resolution earlier this week that, if passed, would set up a floor vote on Rep. Bob Goodlatte’s H.R. 4760, the Securing America’s Future Act.
“But if the Resolution were to pass, it would set up a series of votes, similar to the one held in the Senate last month, that would allow the final vote to be on an amendment of Rep. Denham’s choosing.
“If you’re not familiar with Rep. Denham’s history on immigration, here’s a brief overview:
* he’s a cosponsor of the House-version of the Dream Act that would grant a no-strings amnesty to more than 3 million illegal aliens;
* he’s a cosponsor of three other Republican-led bills that would grant a no-strings amnesty to at least 690,000 illegal aliens;
* he introduced the ENLIST Act that would grant amnesty to illegal aliens who join the military; and
* in 2013, he was the first of three Republicans to cosponsor H.R. 15, the House Democrats’ companion bill to the Senate Gang of 8 amnesty bill.
“Of course, we don’t know what Rep. Denham would offer as an amendment to H.R. 4760 should his Resolution pass, but if his open support for a no-strings amnesty is any indication, it wouldn’t be good.
“Currently, 39 of his Republican colleagues have signed onto the Resolution, including Reps. Don Bacon (R-Neb.), Glenn Thompson (R-Penn.), Joe Barton (R-Texas), and Mike Coffman (R-Colo.) who have also cosponsored H.R. 4760. You can view all of the Denham supporters here. Rep. Coffman became the 95th cosponsor of the Goodlatte bill this week.
“Rep. John Culberson of Texas had cosponsored the Denham Resolution earlier this week, but he’s since withdrawn his support. He’s a cosponsor of H.R. 4760 as well.
“The House would have to pass the Denham Resolution in order for the vote series to occur. We should have a good chance of keeping that from happening. Still, the effort by so many does show the willingness among too many House Republicans to pass a DACA amnesty without ending chain migration or mandating E-Verify.”

There’s probably nothing that would warm the heart of open-borders Paul Ryan more that passing an amnesty bill.
