You must be incredibly naïve.

Wow. You must be even more naïve than what I thought just a few minutes ago. It’s obvious you know nothing about politics.

This obstruction will be the norm should the the Dems win the WH. They seem to think that no one has a memory.

“McConnell should have put a stop to this many months ago.”

Why? When it comes to the willful destruction of the Trump Administration, McConnell and Schumer are on the same page. And will it’s true Schumer is an A$$hole, McConnell is worse, because he’s supposed to be on our side.

All of them, almost without exception, simply want Trump to go away so they can “put things back to the way they were before he was elected!” Their problem is that the people have begun to see just how ill-served they’ve been for the past 50 years at least.

Once the Republicans are in control of the Senate this delay can be done away with.

Until then Chuck Schumer will keep an iron fist on things.

Unfortunately there is a lot of truth to what you say despite the Republicans having officially an organizing majority. The problem is that the Republican margin rests on self important jerks whose only ideology is self promotion like McCain who absolutely hate conservatives.

The Republicans could adjourn congress for three days and Trump would be able to fill all positions immediately with recess apointments. I do not understand why they have not already done this. The recess appointment step was added to deal with obstuctionist congresses.

I am NOT saying ALL unopposed seats should be challenged. However, in areas where changes have happened in political atmosphere, we need to rethink possibilities. The following articles show changes are taking place.

These articles show a view that unexpected change in left/right seats have happened due to Dem/Republican popularities; or the moving of people into those districts with different political views. HOWEVER, if there is NO Challenger during an election cycle, HOW WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT CHANGES EXIST without votes? Exposure of Clinton e mails changes a lot of Dem votes due to J Assange/WikiLeaks, for Trump win.

Opportunities can be lost to measure the possibilities of a changing political atmosphere, when no opposition exists.

And only reading BIASED POLITIAL ARTICLES WILL NOT PRESENT YOU WITH THE TRUTH, be they totally left or right. It is wiseer to find unbiased opinions, as mucha as is possible, to get to crux of the political changes.

Sometimes it isn’t about winning, as much as it is in finding where money could be a vote changer in next election...the reason for taking the temperature of change! That is why I said a lot of money may not be needed to challenge a usually Dem area. Most people already know who they won’t support, or stay home if no challenger to do so. Politics is NOT rocket science.

My state went from a Female Dem Gov to a Republican Gov, and back to a Dem Gov due to being over confident of a win, or lack of really understanding the real changes due to Dem voters moving into our state.

The “Democratic” Party does NOT like democracy.

I have refused to refer to them as the Democratic party since it is so obviously there is nothing Democratic about them - they are the DemocRAT party. After the past eight years of White House's reign of terror I only refer to them in the shortened version of RAT party.

The Senators have selfishly granted themselves powers never intended in the Constitution’s delegation of “advice and consent” responsibilities to the whole body of the Senate. That was power intended for the whole Senate in its joint and collective activity. The Senators have over the history of their body devolved that collective power to a power individual Senators can hold, even against a majority collective mind of the Senate. Too many things are prevented from consideration NOT because a simple “representative” vote decrees it, but a single Senator has means to block it. That is not “representative” government nor the use of “advice and consent” the Constitution anticipated - it is an abuse of that power the Constitution gave the Senate.

Ambrosia - This is a fantastic post! I take it back with an apology - you are not naïve at all, as it turns out. I agree with every word you wrote and you show a lot of depth and understanding of politics.
