My grandparents managed apartments there in the 1960s and 70s. SF was nice back then, even with the zebra murders putting everyone on edge.
The liberal rot of SF has been stunning. My son and I went last year, thinking that we could stay in the city and use BART to get around and visit family and so forth. The filth was astounding. Never again.
Could smell an intense stench of urine upon leaving the central BART stations, Bums lived on the streets in huts of cardboard garbage in the heart of the financial district.
