On Thursday a neighbor in our cul-de-sac had a huge party or something. I don’t know her well BUT she does have a hyphenated name and earlier in her life she worked in Africa for the BBC, so I was pretty sure she was a liberal whack job. We share an hour tennis lesson and she drove yesterday. I said, wow you had a crowd at your house which she responded that she heads an anti-Trump movement and had a meet and greet for a “resistance candidate” hr group is supporting, she then asked my politics which I said, conservative at which she said, “don’t tell me you voted for Trump, at which I clearly answered, yes I did. She began hysterically ranting about the constitution, “Trump is stealing our democracy, we must resist, we must resist. We are living the pre war Germany with Hitler, You people who voted for him have no idea what you have done to this country, there are people all,over this country ready to take him out, blah, blah, blah. It went on for eight miles, her face was red, she was gritting her teeth, arms flailing and almost in tears. We get to the tennis club and she calmly says, “I hope this doesn’t hurt our relationship.” After the lesson and we got in the car we barely spoke.........

I got my shots in but what was best is the tennis pro who was born in Rhodesia (a British 50ish white guy). She thought she was going to have an ally, as it turned out this is how the conversation went.......she opened it up with how horrible Rhodesia was and he said, I don’t know what politics you two ladies are but I love this country, it is my Home and I value every minute of my life in America, when Trump said there were third world shit hole countries, he was spot on there are third world shit hole countries and Africa is full of them, they are all communists/dictators and the living is horrible.. I then saw my opening and went for the Haiti topic, how deplorable the living was and the amount of money worldwide money given to them and they still have open sewer rivers running in the streets. THEN.......but there are politicians in the US who give money to Haiti from their so-called foundations such as the Clinton Foundation, then the leaders funnel it back to the politicians such as Hillary Clinton for their campaign funds. The pro, went insane agreeing with me. It was a big win! This pro is hard to get time with and the psycho is just wild about him but she kept her big mouth shut.
Oh yeah, when she was doing her earlier rant, I mentioned there were two firm issues for me that would keep me from supporting any candidate......abortion and illegal immigration. She practically screamed, “I HAD AN ABORTION AND DONALD TRUMP WILL NEVER TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO WITH MY BODY ( she is sixtyish, a proverbial cottage cheese container, and I don’t think there are many people who care what the hell she does with her body)
