The left and #NeverTrump-ers liked Rex because he opposed the Trump agenda so much and they thought he could reign Trump in.
Never thought Tillerson was a good fit for our President and wondered why it took Pres. Trump so long to fire him.
I think our President had respect for Rex and his business intelligence. Apparently Rex is a good negotiator too. Our President often has people work with him with differing views. Rex had something our President needed and maybe it had to do with the middle east. I give credit to Rex for his work and hopefully he’ll continue to be friends with our President and help give good ideas. President Trump is a great listener.
