I don’t think that anybody in the West liked him.
They saw him as a weak link.
I remember cheering when they shot the living bat snot out of Ceacescu, and being very glad to be alive to see a communist dictator get what all commies deserve.
Too bad they don’t all wind up that way - by the “Ceacescu Protocol”.
But it’s the correct way to deal with them, and those that support them.
