Remember the smiley face bomber? In that case direction was unimportant after all, he just felt artistic I suppose. But maybe direction is important to this scumbag.

The smiley face was my first guess, too. Or all roads lead to wherever. It brings to mind the tv commercial where a man is jogging and comes home to print out his route with romantic hearts for his lady.

This latest could be a copy cat as it was random victims and triggered by a trip wire.

I was looking at the route also. I'd say split the distance and make a circle.

My thoughts is he went North first....went home....then went south....

He might repeat this pattern....or go east home west.

There has to be pre-hit surveillance...like the DC sniper.
