Stoneman Douglas survivor Emma Gonzalez said on Sunday that she has no choice but to advocate for stricter gun control laws. "I have no choice because there were CNN cameras there, and my speech was broadcast all over the country in like four seconds and I had no ideas they were going to be there, and that's..like I'm not upset about that..I'm never going to be the same person again," Gonzalez told "60 Minutes" on CBS.

Police was called to Cruz's house at least 39 times. The FBI was called about Cruz twice. A Broward County Sheriff's Office resource officer refused to enter the building. The next three Sheriffs on scene also refused to enter the building.

This is where, sooner rather than later, the whole thing will sink fast. The more and more we learn about the real details about what happened combined with how it so obvious these kids are being managed by some very strong interest from backstage and their own arrogance as shown in the above and other photos and videos, the far greater less support that these kids and their movement will ultimately have.

I sure hope so. It is difficult for me to do other than think things like “Okay. You think 18 year olds can’t be trusted to buy a gun, but can be trusted with the vote” or “You want to tell us how to conduct our lives but you can’t stop your peers from eating Tide Pods”.

I hate how cynical it makes me feel, even though there is truth in both of those disconnects.
