Media attention, not guns, is what's driving the school mass shooting phenomenon. I'm not sure what can be done about this since news outlets 1st amendment rights and this kind of news coverage is what sells, but this is what it all comes down to.

Sounds similar to life and makes a formula, where we were just lucky enough to be in a remote county that allowed concealed carry. But transporting was still very regulated.
So imagine my surprise when I moved to Tennessee, and the first thing I saw was a guy at Walmart with a Glock on his hip buying chicken breasts. It was so refreshing! then I found out almost everyone at church had a concealed weapon, either on their person or in a bag. Then a neighbor came over to visit and he must’ve had three guns on him. One was strapped to his ankle.
I think we’re ready for civil war two.

My only question is exactly how the gun grabbers will blame this on the Navy?
3 wounded including the shooter. Appears the school resource office aka armed hero with a gun confronted the shooter.

Theory is after being shot by resource officer, shooter shot himself
in the head - not confirmed but believe it to be accurate.

Facebook and Twitter are now actively censoring anyone who points out Maryland’s tough gun laws.

“1. Maryland bans standard capacity magazines. All magazines are capped at 10 rounds.
2. You cannot purchase a handgun in Maryland without a government permission slip and background check. Yes. You need a SEPARATE permit to purchase a gun in Maryland.
3. Want to conceal carry? Forget about it. Maryland is MAY issue and almost never issues CCW permits. Only the politically connected have permits in Maryland. Only about 17,000 active CCW permits are on file in Maryland, out of a population of 6 Million. Only Alaska (which doesn’t require a permit to carry) Delaware, New Jersey, Hawaii and the District of Columbia have less active permits.
4. “Assault weapons” are banned and may not be sold, purchased or transferred. § 5-101(r)(2) § 4-303(c)
5. ALL handgun transfers, including person to person individual sales must go through a background check at a dealer.
In short, everything that the activists CLAIM that they want is in place. Yet, despite all of the nanny laws, there was STILL a shooting at a school.
What worked?
Having competent trained and non-cowardly SRO with a gun, on scene, who acted immediately, stopped the incident cold.
The thing that worked is what the activists say will never work.

Some student called into CNN while an Active Shooter incident was going on? Just like the guy that called Shep Smith when the shooting was going on at the Ft Lauderdale Airport a while back. Anyone else have the numbers to their favorite news channels, in their phones, so they can call and give a play by play while there’s acts of violence taking place.
