Two students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have been arrested today for bringing weapons to school. A third student is being evaluated for making online threats.
The first student, 18-year-old Jordan Salter, was arrested after pulling a two-inch black knife from her bra after a disagreement with another student took place, the Sun Sentinel reported.
The second student, Gavin Stricker, 17, allegedly brandished a knife on the school bus earlier in the day.
On top of everything else, a Broward County deputy was placed on administrative leave for allegedly sleeping on the job.

Being downplayed in the local Miami media.
Instead, the focus is now on the GunControl issue and how the camera hogs ought to dictate our Constitutional rights.
Very limited coverage of the hero in Maryland WITH A GUN who stopped a bad guy with a gun. Funny, too, because early on the media was VERY KEEN on getting the camera hogs reaction to Maryland. But when it turned out to be a PRO-GUN argument, the desire for detailed discussion faded away.
Imagine that.

I once stashed a piece of licorice in my bra. It was pretty darn uncomfortable.
If I had a child in this particular school, I’d yank him or her out and move to another school district, put my child in private day school, or send my child to boarding school. However fine a school it may have been before the shooting, no real learning is going to go on there for at least a couple more years.
It does name the deputy.

And one of those “black” assault knives at that! We need to pass more “Bra Black Assault Knives” Laws.
Of course, what do we do about the high capacity “Holders” the knife would be kept in?

I had a classmate stab my forearm with a sharpened pencil when I was in fourth grade. (I jokingly reached for his lunch, and he jokingly pretended he was going to stab me in the arm in the same fashion his parents might rap his knuckles for reaching across the table...his motor control was poor, though, and he stabbed me pretty deeply!)
For years, I thought I had a piece of pencil lead buried in my forearm, with a distinct gray-black spot below the skin somewhere. I even tried unsuccessfully a few times growing up to dig it out.
LOL, I had the light go on for me at one point when I realized it wasn’t solid lead, but that I had been inadvertently tattooed by the graphite pencil!
Pretty sure this type of behavior has been going on for years when obama excluded minorities from punishment. They must be shocked to be getting reprimanded for behavior that was tolerated during obamas reign.
That, and the salaries of our teachers who are supposed to be teaching kids, but instead give them the day off with credit to participate in liberal political rallies while they get to hang out with the feet on the desk instead of teaching as they are paid to do.
That really burns me. And one teacher who refused to play along and failed kids who didn't show up to take a test scheduled for that day was disciplined by the school.
Infuriating.
What happened here is that the kids realize they are totally on their own if anything happens. So you wind up with knives in bras, hidden weapons Etc. They know it’s up to them to fight it out because the deputies outside will do nothing.
