Not a Citibank customer, and now I’ll never be one.

Indeed. They tried through Obama Executive Orders. They tried through state and federal legislation.

Now they will try and grab your guns through the Free Market.

Do your part by filing a complaint with the CFPB if you have a citigroup card. Must be a member to file the complaint.

The link to CFPB is

CFBP Complaint

And here's some text you can use for the complaint (use all below to end of post):

In violation of 15 USC 1691a, Citigroup has announced it will be discriminating by age for certain transactions as excerpted from their policy statement. Link to full statement follows the excerpt.

According to 15 USC 1691a, a creditor may not discriminate by age (provided the applicant has the capacity to contract) with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction.

Citigroup excerpt:

"Under this new policy, we will require new retail sector clients or partners to adhere to these best practices: .... (2) they restrict the sale of firearms for individuals under 21 years of age, and "...

Do these morons understand the firearm market?

They think criminals contact some nefarious gun dealer - GIVE THEM THEIR FRICKING CREDITCARD NUMBER, and get the weapon in the mail?

Is THAT how they think it works?

Sorry ***holes but you don’t have a “part” to “do” unless you are a communist organization. If that’s the case, you may want to notify your customers of that fact.

If someone as smart as our current President was CEO of a bank, he would publish a welcome mat of programs to handle the moneys of gun manufacturers, distributors, retailers and buyers, and clean up.

Citi is making a mistake here. Running gun channels off YouTube causes some harm because YouTube has no real competition.

Citi has *lots* of competition. You will not achieve a situation in which no lenders will loan to companies that sell standard cap magazines. They’ve decided virtue signaling is more important than the bottom line.

I don’t know where Cabelas gets their financing. Losing that account would be costly to a lender.

Citibank can do what it wants, it's a business. Personally I have never, do not, nor will ever do business with them simply because it doesn't make sense to with someone who levies exorbitant fees on their customers. This is yet another reason.

Ed Skyler use to work as Deputy Press Secretary for Mayor Giuliani. Plus, in 2009 he tackled a mugger in Manhattan that had robbed a defenseless young woman.

I guess he didn’t learn much from Rudy. But he did graduate from elite universities.

Corporate America gets into the gun-grabbing game.

Yep. Citi signals their virtue and the other major banks will have to make a calculated decision: Will they lose more customers following Citi or not following Citi. Keep in mind, most people are sheep and only one side of the debate is allowed; the side that says guns are evil and the NRA is drenched in the blood of dead children.

What we are seeing will be the efforts to implement something of a work-around where guns will still be legal but it will be next to impossible to buy and sell them. Banks won't loan money to gun dealers for capital investment. Credit card companies won't allow point of sale transactions. Domain hosts won't allow store websites to be set up. Nobody will accept advertising. You get the picture. Being in the business of selling or manufacturing firearms will become so onerous, nobody will bother. And not a single law banning guns needs to be passed.

The framework for this is already being put in to place. It's frightening. The left plays to win.
