Thus proving Trump right once again that this is largely about mental health. I wonder if this guy was on anyone’s radar as a danger like the FL school shooter was, or if he was high functioning and smart enough to have avoided that.

I've seen all the stories about how he seemed like a great kid and all that, and I also heard things that he was always extremely quiet and odd.

Yes he is right, and in my opinion most of these individuals must have unattended "mental health problems".

The police said that he wasn’t in files.
But the way he was carrying out attacks (with increasing frequency and more importantly, publicly entering a facility to mail several bombs on camera) he was trying to get caught (not so much taunting police with letters saying, “ha ha can’t get me”).
It’s like he wanted to die in a suicide by cop situation.
If a high body count or fame had been his goal, he could’ve achieved either by attacking the crowds as SXSW which he did not do.
