One of the poorly written aspects of this screed is that it doesn’t tell you the actual quote that Burgos posted, or the context in which the state GOP wants him removed from its central committee (no one is expelling him from the Republican Party), which I assume is intentional.
Here is the John Jay quote that Burgos posted:
“Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers and it is the duty as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian Nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.”
What’s wrong with that, you ask? The context is that Burgos is campaigning on behalf of a candidate running to be chairman of the Fairfax County Republican Committee. That candidate’s GOP rival for the position happens to be Jewish. Hence the claims that Burgos is delivering a bigoted and anti-Semitic message.
So what is that fluff? You apparently know what it is but you might want to communicate that so others will know. For example what was the quote from John Jay that he put on FacePlant? That might be a good start. John Jay was a devout Christian, but I don't know every quote he ever uttered. Another good point to bring out is exactly why the Republicans want to expel him. Is it because Fredy Burgos supposedly said something negative about Jews, or is it directly related to the John Jay quote? You make this unclear as to why the Republicans want to expel him. We are not being critical, we are just voicing our confusion, so do not take it as a personal attack, but rather as the helping advice we offer up.
Let me make it 100% clear you want nothing to do with Burgos.

In case you haven’t noticed, the republicans DO NOT want conservatives in their party. To them, the conservatives are party crashers who double as useful idiots around election time.

Just FYI the real reason they want him gone is not what he has said in public, but what he has said behind closed doors.
