Ditto
Note to Bill: you only played the part of Hunter S. Thompson...
Useful Idiots then and now.
Just recently he said something smart
Now back to dogmatic progressive
“Bill Murray compares anti-gun Parkland students to Vietnam War protesters” ... he’s right of course, the protestors managed to lose a won war and millions died; the protestors are on the same track ...
And take all this with a grain of salt.....hes Canadian.
Bill, smoke another joint
The Viet Nam anti-war protesters and the Parkland anti-freedom protesters are very similar ... communists controlled by the Deep State.
Students then and now were pawns of corrupt politicians and their corrupt media.
YAF when I joined in 1963 was conservative and opposed to foreign wars when the US was not directly threatened. I'm among many who walked out of the YAF conference in Boston, in the Spring of 1966, when the leadership announced that they were supporting the war. It was obvious even back then that the true conservative movement was being hijacked by those with a globalist agenda.
These gun protests and BLM and the anti-Confederate protests after the Church shooting and the anti-white protesting after Charlotte are a whole new step. The protests are totally controlled, from their very planning, by those whose agenda is the destruction of the US.
In the VietNam era, most of us were about wanting to save the nation we loved from crazies who profited from war. Today's protests are theatrical productions totally controlled by those crazies and other crazies who want to end freedom.
“...those students in Florida are making here, today will do something of the same nature.”.....
Sounds pretty much like Murray is trying to puch the snowflakes on in their pending protests, thus giving them false courage to think they are important.
Once upon a time acting was so despised and looked down upon that those who made a career of it weren't allowed Christian burial at the village church but were instead taken far out into the woods into a pauper's grave. Maybe there was something to that.
But as soon as the motion picture camera came about those who performed in front of it seem to have acquired a hypnotic effect over the unwashed masses consigned to watch on cheap screens and bed sheets and white walls and then grand cinemas and into the living room of people's homes.
This isn't a new phenomenon. As far back as a hundred years ago countless women were spellbound by the sage advice composed daily by Mary Pickford. Never mind that they didn't even know what the hell her voice sounded like.
It's something I can't understand. But no more understand that than why so many genuinely take celebrities SERIOUSLY on anything they have to say.
The "protestors" of today wouldn't know conscience or conviction if they bit them in the ass. The civil rights movement of sixty years ago didn't need leadership. Not really. Those people knew what was wrong and they took it upon themselves to act on their OWN.
The kids of last week's walkouts and this weekend's... whatever? They aren't thinking on their own. They're being led around like animals on a leash. Camera Hogg is the Judas goat of the hour.
Because ending the Vietnam War turned out soooo wonderful, right Bill?
Funny thing about that, the anti-war students all were dead set against Nixon being elected but Nixon knew exactly how to end the war and did so.
“Can it Bill while Im still a fan.”
I’m not sure if he supports them or not by this.
The noise the media is making. They're trying so, so hard to tell us we should care.
They and their parents don't get it that a sincere protestor is willing to take some risk for their convictions. They go apocalyptic if the kiddies get so much as a detention for their actions. JMHO, they aren't capable of saving freedom.
Actually, he is right. In both cases they are useful idiots.
