Like most of you over the last couple of weeks I have been watching the controversy with Facebook and the way they collect and use information on those that use it’s platform.

Last night I was reading an article on Zero Hedge about Facebook and found out something I wasn’t totally aware of. I suspected it but was blown away by the amount of Data they collect on all it’s users, Link here: https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-03-25/facebook-has-been-storing-logs-phone-calls-text-messages-years-report

If you use Facebook then you want to read that article on how to download your account information from them. Once you do and you open the files you will see an tremendous amount of information that has been stored by Facebook on you. If you have Facebook on your phone, it’s even worse. Unless you have gone into the settings on your phone, then to Apps permissions and tuned these features off, then every phone call you have made and received, every text you have made and received, along with access to your camera, pictures, address book and the microphone in you phone, has been recorded. You understand that, everything thing in your life has been recorded by Facebook.

Facebook makes most it’s money from selling all your personal information to a variety of Third Party vendors for an array of purposes, from advertising to you, or for political purposes. We are truly in the age of no secrets.

I deleted my Facebook account several weeks ago, but only after the reading that article did I look at my Facebook file that I had downloaded. I was astounded by all the information I saw on myself. Sadly even though I deleted my account I am sure they are keeping all my information. We worry about the NSA and other government agencies that might spy on us, but Facebook, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, to name a few are doing it. So a heads up for those of you who might want to make a change, or at least try and restrict what information Facebook is getting from you.
