The Republican and Democrat leadership worked together to force POTUS Trump’s hand and create a voter backlash they hope will fracture Trump’s base of support among millions of Americans.

Do not know it to be true...

There is a repeal mechanism in a 1974 Budget Act statute.

https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/STATUTE-88/pdf/STATUTE-88-Pg297.pdf

(Start at pages 36-37 of the download, under Title X, Sections 1100-)

Congress has 45 days to submit items for rescission, and to vote.

Certain old time Freepers have bought into this scam by the uniparty. Others whiners are newbie trolls. Trump had to sign this bill to fund and fix our military. Priority 1: defend the nation. I doubt he’ll take this lying down though. He does have tools at his disposal to dump some of the spending. Some of those have been discussss here on Free Republic.

K-Street wanted the Tax Cuts.

K-Street wanted most of this spending.

Trump needs to try to educate the American People that Ditch and PRyno, et. al. are not working in their best interests.

Trump doesn’t have much leverage over either NeverTrumper, especially as anti-GOPeers ave not had success at the ballot box since 2016.

Well, at least it was only 1.2 trillion. If Dems had control of Congress, it’d be 3 trillion! See, this is why we have to keep voting GOP! Do you purist FReepers really want to let the Dems take Congress? < /S >

Maybe we need another special counsel to investigate the malfeasance and corruption of the (4 )congressional conspirators who wasted the resources of the Congress on their hidden activities.

How long did it take to write the 2300 page bill while deceiving the American citizens (and the other members of Congress) of what they were actually doing? Isn't this a tremendous waste of taxpayer money?

Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer heaped praise on Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for their help .....

Along with a few million each....

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell belong in the Ninth Circle of Hell.

Treachery. Betrayers of trust.

Round 4 is named Judecca after Judas Iscariot, the apostle who betrayed Jesus with a kiss. They should join Judas there.

This is NOT in any shape or form NEWS!
This was expected from the snakes in DC.
POTUS continues to excel in his support. HE is one of the
few 'congress critters' who has AMERICA's best
interest at heart. THIS is the reason he was placed in
the OO. The BEST MAN for the job, IMHO

A BIG BRONX CHEER for the lower forms of DC Swamp life!

I refuse to allow Ryan, The Turtle, Chuckie and Pelosi to come between
me and my support of Trump.

Others here will have to weigh the great things Trump has done against
a sad day yesterday. And the great things yet to come.
The Swamp is deeper and wider than any of us imagined.
One man cannot drain it alone.

I don’t rank this as a major fail by the President. Every adult knows he has to work with Congress, and won’t get exactly what he wants every time. However, President Trump has a habit of turning losses into victories. By the next encounter with Congress, he will have the upper hand. I hope if he was waffling on whether to indict certain people or let bygones be bygones, he now knows it will be a fight to his last day in office, so he might as well fight back with no mercy.

Who didn’t know this, already?

The bill process was a trap for every representative congressman and senator. The glazed eyes from all the late hours, racing the clock. Ryan & Company set them up.

The bill is not only robbery and insecurity for the people, It is truly a middle finger to trump, perfectly designed to cause him major trouble.

But will it? Is the president allowed a single legislative mistake in order to revive our Obama depleted military?

When one of these three is grinning you had better hold on to your billfold.

When two of the three are grinning you had better hold on to your billfold and keep your back to the wall.

When all three are grinning it's too late - your billfold is already gone and the knife is in your back.

P.S.
Notice that Nana Piglosi is missing from the celebration.
She has become so toxic that even a bottom-feeding paste-eater like Schmucky Schumer doesn't want to be photographed with her.

Thomas Wictor
@ThomasWictor

Unrolled thread from @ThomasWictor

(1) An interview shows the Trump Doctrine in action.

Saudi general in charge of Yemen campaign speaks to euronews

(2) "The agreement that we have with our friends in Washington is that we will continue to work together for the stability of the region against what terrorist groups, extremists or those countries who have ideologies that they export beyond their borders."

(3) "We need to implement the international law, respect sovereignty of countries, respect internal, domestic issues for countries and work between countries as states."

(4) In the past, the US position was to support those leaders who supported us.

NOW, the goal is to create stable nation-states and not interfere in how those nations-states deal with OTHER nation-states.

(5) "This is once again why we work against countries who work through militias, this is the result of working with militias and we need the international community to feel this pressure."

(6) The region has a long tradition of political parties with "armed wings" or militias.

These militias ALWAYS become state-supported terrorist organizations.

(7) "Assiri said Saudi Arabia will not allow Yemen to be controlled by a militia and it will not accept that another Hezbollah comes to power in Yemen."

(8) Hezbollah has 150,000 rockets aimed at Israel.

This is destabilizing.

The Trump Doctrine is about stabilization.

(9) In journalism, there's something called "burying the lede."

In means you don't start with the most important aspect of a story.

(10) I did a double-take when I read the final sentence of the article.

(11) "Assiri was with the crown prince in the states last week where they got Trump's support for the offensive against Iran, for their operation in Yemen and the rest."

(12) THERE WE GO.

"The offensive against IRAN."

(13) The Saudi defense minister and C-in-C of the Yemen operation got Trump's support for an offensive against Iran.

(14) NOW do you see why Trump signed the omnibus spending bill?

It fully funded the armed forces.

(15) And now Bolton will be the National Security Advisor.

So here's what happened: McMaster took care of North Korea. It's done.

He resigned because the US will not take a leading role in regime change in Iran.

We don't need an active-duty general for Iran.

(16) The Iranians rose up in December of 2017 and conducted "reconnaissance by protest."

They learned everything they needed to know about the security forces, AND they recruited many of the security forces.

(17) When the Iranians were ready, they sent multiple "Go" signals on social media.

They all said the same thing: It's time.

(18) Trump announces that General McMaster will resign, and John Bolton will replace him.

(19) The Saudi defense minister and the Saudi commander-in-chief of the Yemen operation get Trump's approval for "the Iran offensive."

(20) Trump signs the omnibus spending bill and says that if you read if for 20 minutes, you'll see why.

Reading it for 20 minutes shows you that the military is being fully funded for the first time in years.

(21) THIS is what happens when you read non-American news sources.

You learn the crucial information that allows you to put everything together.

(22) Mohammed bin Salman said that moving the US embassy to Jerusalem is a "painful step."

Did you see what he left out?

"But necessary."

(23) I've said for a long time that Qatar is only PLAYING the villain, and that the country is the key to regime change in Iran and the defeat of Hezbollah and Hamas.

Here's what General Assiri said:

(24) "On recent discussions with the United States Assiri said the issue of Qatar hadn't even been discussed with Trump because 'Qatar is not important enough'."

(25) "Anelise Borges Andrade challenged this, saying he had just spoken about the importance of stability in the region and that stability was contingent upon finding a solution with Qatar. He repeated 'the issue is not important enough for these kinds of meetings'."

(26) The issue is "not important enough" because Qatar is a double agent.

When the time comes, the mullahs and Hezbollah will find that their entire weapons systems are useless.

(27) This is what Trump said.
(28) Therefore I predict that the mullahs will gone by September.

The funding was needed NOW, but it won't be as crucial after September.

One last theory:

(29) The funding is being used to TRAIN our people in the use of the new technology that the Israelis developed with funding from the Gulf Cooperation Council.

(30) Of course I could be wrong in my prediction that the mullahs will be gone by September.

We'll know soon enough...

(31) ADDENDUM: Trump made you all fixate on the border wall.

Guess what? It was a rabbit.

Immigration arrests spiked, illegal border crossings dropped in 2017: DHS

  • Of the apprehensions, nearly 98% were along the Southwest border.

(32) Trump knew that getting funding for a wall would be VERY hard, so he had contingency plans. AS HE ALWAYS DOES.

(33) So even WITHOUT the wall, he's still making good on his promises. As you would know if you STOPPED listening to gore crows and doom criers...
