I remember Teddy Kennedy and his neck brace back in 1969; a panicky coward caused a young woman in the prime of her life to lose hers and save his political viability. Yet, three years later, he is being interviewed by “the press” about running for President, as though he was in some way qualified; I’d rather have my garbagemen take the office; they are a lot more reliable, honest and hard working than EMK ever was.

In short, I agree with you. Kennedy by all accounts fabricated a story about what happened. Diving to try and save her. Returning to the scene with two other people two try. then no one reports the incident for 10 hours.
