Great post. Solomon built the pagan temples, or he allowed them to be built by others? I thought it was the latter, but it really doesn’t matter. Enabling baby murder is about as bad as the murder itself.

Took off yesterday to get taxes ready, but I had not forgotten your question. Had to go home and look up the answer. Read I Kings 11:1 - 8. It is pretty direct and clear, especially if read out of a translation like the NIV.
Interesting to note today on Good Friday that the high places to Molech and Chemosh were built on a hill east of Jerusalem. I wonder if that hill was what later became the Mount of Olives?
