Cumulus Conservative Talk 770 WABC New York has announced that the station will pick up Chris Plante’s syndicated talker starting Monday, April 2.
Plante will move into the 10am-12pm slot that becomes open with Bernard McGuirk and Sid Rosenberg’s move to mornings to replace Don Imus.
Plante’s show originates at Cumulus’ WMAL Washington DC. He spent 17 years as a reporter and correspondent for CNN and then joined WMAL as a weekend host in 2005 and moved to the 9am-12pm slot in 2008. His show entered syndication in 2016.
I saw that Imus was on his way out.I used to be a fan 15-20 years ago.
Plante is the best.

Yep, started a little over a year ago, expanded to Chicago a few months ago on WLS.

Have him here in Grand Rapids MI on 1340 AM....great show. Also love The Dan Bongino podcast.....probably the best information on the content we scour here in FR land. Bongino has the best podcast bar none.....Plante is hilariously funny.

I live here in DC and listen to Chris everyday...he is the best.
I live in California and he is my wake-up call every morning. He is intelligent, knowledgeable, has a voluminous vocabulary, and is funny besides! Best of all, he makes fun of the so-called democrap press!!!
That’s great! I listen to Chris Plante almost every weekday on WMAL in Washington.
The best? Haha...I guess if you like repeating the same things over and over year after year. No cadence while talking. I like the guy, but he isn’t nearly as polished as some.
I listen to Bongino on occasion, he is good, haven’t listened to Plante, usually listen to Laura then Fred Dicker on Talk 1300 Albany, he is terrific.
