As various leftists talk of repealing the Second Amendment it must be noted that removing that amendment would neither remove the right to self-defense nor the guns Americans possess for that purpose.
Those who have read documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution or books like John Locke’s Second Treatise of Government, Richard M Weaver’s Ideas Have Consequences, and Thomas Sowell’s Vision of the Anointed, understand that the educational system run by leftists has left America with generations of citizens who do not understand the philosophies and natural rights integral to our nation’s founding.
Moreover, generations of Americas are unaware that the rights our Founders fought to defend do not come to us from government but from God. As Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.”

The 2nd amendment doesn’t establish the right to own guns, it just guarantees it. It’s like if you own something that you bought, and the guarantee just covers any defects.
If they come I won’t be home - I know who’s on the team and where they live.
Although The Second Amendment is law written by man it is in reality simply an affirmation of our right to live free and this right was paid in blood during the Revolutionary War.
It should be noted we fought a tyrannical central government in England of King George III. Our brilliant forefathers knew full well the danger of centralized government tyranny.
That was why we went to war. That is why although the right to keep and bear arms was understood they wrote it down in law so it could not be abridged.
A free honest man with a weapon is a citizen. An unarmed man be he honest or not is simply a serf of the state.
It is that simple.

If not for the French our revolution would have failed. We paid our debt in full to the French in WWI and WWII as we did to the Brits.
Odd is it not, the French, The USA,the Brits warred against each and their prodigal son the USA united them all. It is most sad to see France and England committing political ethnic suicide by Muslim invasion under the guise of political correctness and acceptance of a hostile culture. These three nations can not be defeated by external forces. Suicide is a choice.
If and when the time comes that the evil ones start confiscating guns, the old saying of “ ride to the sound of the guns” will be the rallying cry.

I heard someone say that the second Amendment was just an old outdated piece of paper, to which I responded that the same document had the entire bill of rights, including trial by jury, freedom of speech, etc. Are these people seriously that ignorant?

Yep - the 2nd doesn’t give us the right - it affirms the inherent right and adds that it will not be infringed - something they thought necessary because they knew that governments who control weapons also have the subjects under their thumb...

I find it difficult to trust a man who wears a bow tie unless he’s also wearing a tuxedo.
IF the state of California can be a sanctuary for illegal aliens and arrest people for enforcing federal immigration law ... Texas can be a sanctuary state from any other federal gun laws and arrest those who try to enforce new gun laws.
Or we just have states decide to ignore federal laws based on popular vote, like states that legalized marijuana for recreational use.
Use liberals’ own example of saying “we don’t like the law, we aren’t obeying it”.
It would actually have a stronger case regarding the Second Amendment than the drug and immigration laws liberals already systematically ignore.

They can’t confiscate what they don’t know. That’s why the control freaks go bonkers on no background checks for private transactions.
