That’s doing well here at our AMC multiplex in central PA. They’re also showing “Paul, Apostle of Christ”. I see on the schedule that they’ll have “God’s Not Dead: A Light in Darkness” tomorrow.
The moral-equivalence propaganda film “Entebbe” was never booked. MAGA.

I Can Only Imagine is now up to 41 million in Box Office. It’s budget was only 7 million, probably add a couple more for what little Marketing they did.
20th Century Fox, TSG Entertainment and simple minded 10th grade drop out Lil’ Jenny Lawrence will be pissed when “I Can Only Imagine” passes Red Sparrow in Domestic box office take by the end of this weekend. Mind you it has been in release less than half the time as Red Sparrow.
I guess the Russians Russians Russians must of showed up at the Box office to watch this Russian Spy dud of a movie as the overseas box office has been bigger than Domestic.
Because people are tired of Marxist and homosexual propaganda shoved in their faces.
With the blockbuster debut of a conservative “Roseanne,” maybe Hollywood is considering bringing back “Father Knows Best?”

Having seen Mercy Me perform live in concert, I’m eager to see “I can only imagine.”
“Paul” is inspiring discussions about leaving Peter out, but discussions which arouse curiosity send folks searching the Bible, which is great for everyone.
I pray this is more than an Easter Week fad.
How was Entebbe a propaganda movie?
Entebbe was not only strongly pro-Israel, it was strongly pro-Shimon Peres and anti-Yitsak Rabin. It made Rabin look like a woos. It was also strongly pro-coalition cabinet, showing that a cabinet of people who often disagree with each other can come to support a plan of action.
It made German terrorists look like idiots.
If all of that is the truth, then the truth is propaganda. We don’t see the anti-semites flocking to support Entebbe.
Saw “ I Can Only Imagine” on opening weekend. Good movie, but the older I get, the more my allergies act up when I watch these kind of movies...

Only Imagine is an amazing movie. One of the best in a long time. “Greater” is another excellent movie although not as well done but a fantastic Christian movie
The movie about Paul is horrible.
While I am all for the seed of the gospel being planted, I feel that most of these films are new age in their message and very anti-fundamentalism.
A couple of examples.
The Passion of the Christ from a few years back was decidely pro-Catholic while using the diary of a nun (who was involved in the occult) for the story line. One scene in particular was mind-numbing where they threw Jesus off the side of a bridge and pulled him back up with chains.
Most recently there was the ‘Let There Be Light’ film starring Kevin Sorbo. No clear presentation of the Gospel - but the watered-down version of the Catholics. What else should be expected from Sean Hannity, a conservative on Fox News who is a Catholic. Noteworthy is how they showed the Fundamentalist preacher from the debate at the beginning of the movie to be a mean-spirited, unforgiving, vindictive old fuddy-duddy.
The main thrust was to send a light beam across the planet and then respond with good works by sending money to a food bank.
Are these films biblically ‘Christian?’ It is very doubtful.
Now we have this film, ‘I Can Only Imagine’ based on a number one hit by a contemporary ‘Christian’ music group (Mercy Me). But the question remains . . . how much ‘Bible’ will it feature?
And much more importantly, how much of the true Gospel of faith without works be presented? Will film goers be confronted with the reality that before they can be ‘saved’ they must show that they are ‘lost’ and on their way to hell? Will they be shown that only the blood of Christ is sufficient to wash away their sins - and not a pool of water in a baptistry?
The trailer looked good; I was looking forward to see the great planning and execution of the raid, but then I read too many reviews (pre-reviews?) that said the movie wanted us to see the kidnapping and psychological torture and murder of the innocents from the terorists’ point of view.

Which is why “Noah” bombed. Hollywood tried to turn a Bible story about God judging sin and providing salvation to the Righteous into an environmental propaganda film.
