In 4 of the last 7 Presidential elections, no candidate received a majority of the popular vote. Bill Clinton did not in 1992 or 1992. Neither Bush or Gore did so in 2000. Neither Hillary nor Trump did so in 2016.
52% of the voters rejected Hillary.
