Attorney General Jeff Sessions names prosecutor to investigate FBI allegations.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions designated U.S. attorney John Huber as the prosecutor tasked with looking into allegations of abuse of power at the FBI.

In a Thursday letter to Congress, Sessions said this appointment was made in response to requests for a special counsel investigation of the claims. The attorney general said, however, that Huber will be the one determining "whether any matters merit the appointment of a special counsel....In his letter, Sessions said he will take the necessary actions to defend the integrity of the Justice Department and its work.

"We understand that the Department is not above criticism and it can never be that the Department conceals errors when they occur," Sessions wrote.

The attorney general said he expects the department's staff to operate with the "highest level of integrity, ethic, and professionalism."

"If anyone falls short of these standards, I will fulfill my responsibility to take necessary action to protect the integrity of our work," he said.

FRICKING ERRORS! I guess he can’t jump to conclusions, otherwise the RATS will send out Boss Hogg to destroy him.

I’m no big fan of Special Prosecutors. They seem to screw up everything they touch. This however sounds a little more like, having a plan to make a plan to make a plan.

221 more days until midterm elections.

If enough patriots are elected, DJT can give Sessions the hook.

So Sessions is appointing someone to decide if someone should be appointed.

It looks like a good move to me. Huber was well liked by Attn. General Ashcroft. He’s from Utah, which is about as far from the coasts and DC as you can get.

He’s been appointed as US Attorney in Utah by both Obama and Trump. Have to be nervous about any prosecutor who was so acceptable to the Obama admin., but I guess this helps Sessions to claim the review is non-partisan. https://www.justice.gov/usao-ut/meet-us-attorney

He’s an Obama nominee. That in itself, is a red flag, but I’m hoping all will be OK

Unfortunately, Utah is in the front yard of the likely leader of the beltway Never Trump movement next year: Senator Mitt Romney. I will assume this guy is Mormon. In which case there is ZERO chance he substantively engages the Democrats while Bishop Romney attacks POTUS.
