Obviously it depends on growth in online sales. That’s were the Amazon vs. Walmart race will be interesting. I noticed Walmart has introduced in store scanners for customers to use as they shop. And Amazon is looking at purchasing some of the Toys R US locations. That’s an admission on the part of Amazon.
I’ve made it a practice to talk to the online sales delivery person at Walmarts. Online sales are going up.
Online sales with store pickup is coming quickly. Cuts theft.
Food markets will remain for shoppers. And grow.
Watch for robots in stores, too, directing customers and doing other tasks.
