On Thursday, the jury opted not to take an additional hour to deliberate, instead choosing to come back today with the verdict.

Sounds like they didn't have much of a case.

It’s Easter weekend and they wanted to bail. I have been on juries. Most of them will go along with anything as long as they can get out the door faster.

Actually it really sounds like they knew it was the beginning of Easter and wanted to get the heck out of there and go to either Good Friday services OR wanted to shop for a big dinner for Sunday.
