I doubt it was steroids. Bodybuilders of Arnold’s era took only a fraction of the amount athlete’s use today. Oral dosages of Dianabol (D-ball) or Winsterol. Today’s athletes are using such megadoses they HAVE to inject them - if they tried to take it orally they would fry their liver in 6 months. Certainly the pro bodybuilding community is seeing some major health effects from PEDs these days but the best informed opinions think it’s from HGH, insulin, diuretics and other super powerful designer PEDs and steroids.

Anyway, something just doesn't look right about a man that is heavily muscled. Below is a normal looking man who is in decent shape. The other guy is obviously way too much into weight lifting.

I saw him in person about 12 years ago. He looked like he had been embalmed. Also, he is short.

The buffed guy looks like he does as much from weight cutting and water depletion as from pumping iron and juicing. (although it’s clear he does all of them.)
