Alex Castellanos, Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney's campaign strategist, told ABC’s “This Week” it’s hard to believe that “Robert Mueller is not going to dig up something in Trump’s complicated financial history......”......a switch in Republicans’ fortune in Congress after November’s mid-term elections could bring dire consequences for the Trump presidency.
“It’s hard to believe then that when Republicans lose the House in 2018, maybe by 40 or 50 seats, that the House is not going to impeach him,” Castellanos said. “And that a Senate that’s scared to death, but still be in Republican hands, is not going to take a serious look when it has to deal with this president,” he said. “So Trump should get good legal help now, because the storm is coming.”
Trump’s legal team has been reduced to 2-3 attorneys after lead lawyer John Dowd resigned March 22 after a quarrel over how to respond to Mueller’s prosecutors. Dowd urged a more cooperative approach and advised Trump not to do a sit-down interview with Mueller. But Trump favored more aggressive tactics and spoke about his desire to be grilled by Mueller.
In the days around Dowd’s departure, a number of high-profile lawyers, including GWB's solicitor general, decided against joining.....Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow, who have been advising the president in Mueller’s probe since last summer.

everyday there is a dozen stories about how Trump is finished— and that there will be evidence of collusion— yet nothing materializes— how long can they fool the public that there is some sort of crisis when everday they are proven wrong..
Don’t think mueller will quit and say there was nothing.. they will have to get him before he manufactures something he can pin on Trump..thats the 2 ways out of it.. muellers pride wont let him stop...plus his hate for our President.
Excellent point.......in a recent book out about the Hilton’s a chapter dealt with Barron Hilton (Paris’ grandfather).
He sunk $350 million in an A/C hotel but could not get a gaming license.
The book tells how Donald stepped up and offered Barron cash for the hotel.
That became one of Trump’s A/C casino holdings. BTW, Trump has not been in the A/C casino business for some 10 years even though some A/C casinos bear his name.
Donald greatly respected the Hiltons and named his son by Melania after Barron Hilton.

They’re trying to stampede Trump into firing Mueller. It’s their only play. Financial crimes are complicated, and in any case we’re talking about stuff that is alleged to have happened before his presidency.
Trump HAS TO FIRE MUELLER. The repukes and demoncrats will try and impeach him anyways. Why give them ‘legal’ cover.

So, “Hope” comes in the form that... all along, with DOJ IG’s help that the true Prosecutor in Utah has been digging this up on Mueller— for delivery and “convincing” for him to close up his bullcrap machine designed to cover his own absolute corrupt failures. Downside is Huber was an “Ashcroft “ well liked (so apparently was Comey.. but maybe not).
Don’t hold your breath waiting on that one. Huber’s only job is to read the IG report and push the second special council decision past the midterms.

I expect Trump to hit McConnell with both barrels after the midterms. There is no point in doing it now. A GOP Civil War right now is not what he needs.

They obviously don’t care about losing the house or senate. Otherwise they would have supported the popular Trump agenda. Gotten rid of obamacare, funded the wall, etc.

I’ve said for nearly a year now that the Establishment Republicans are willing to sacrifice everything to keep The Swamp in power.
That includes their careers, their families, and I believe for many, even their lives if it came to that.
I’m glad more are coming around to that view.
...and sad to say, you would be right. Compare the amount of resistance the repukis have given Trump in his first year to that of O’muslim over his 8 year usurpation. It’s staggering.
The repukis are unindicted co-conspirators to at least 6 years of Obama’s wholesale treason and lawlessness. They ALLOWED AND FUNDED IT ALL.
