Alex Castellanos, Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney's campaign strategist, told ABC’s “This Week” it’s hard to believe that “Robert Mueller is not going to dig up something in Trump’s complicated financial history......”......a switch in Republicans’ fortune in Congress after November’s mid-term elections could bring dire consequences for the Trump presidency.
“It’s hard to believe then that when Republicans lose the House in 2018, maybe by 40 or 50 seats, that the House is not going to impeach him,” Castellanos said. “And that a Senate that’s scared to death, but still be in Republican hands, is not going to take a serious look when it has to deal with this president,” he said. “So Trump should get good legal help now, because the storm is coming.”
Trump’s legal team has been reduced to 2-3 attorneys after lead lawyer John Dowd resigned March 22 after a quarrel over how to respond to Mueller’s prosecutors. Dowd urged a more cooperative approach and advised Trump not to do a sit-down interview with Mueller. But Trump favored more aggressive tactics and spoke about his desire to be grilled by Mueller.
In the days around Dowd’s departure, a number of high-profile lawyers, including GWB's solicitor general, decided against joining.....Ty Cobb and Jay Sekulow, who have been advising the president in Mueller’s probe since last summer.

This is exactly correct if what he says comes to pass - the Democrats winning control of the House would create substantial momentum for impeachment and removal from office - that is the narrative, and it will be a narrative confirmed - that “the people” want Trump gone, and the GOP leadership will “get the message” that Trump must go to “save the party.”
If the GOP wins big, the opposite narrative occurs - that “the people” support President Trump and his policies. It is a numbers game. Therefore, Trump voters cannot sit on their behinds in November and must show up and vote - unless they want to participate in his impeachment. You can’t create a narrative that “the people” want the President and his agenda gone if his own party has a big win.
I believe they will as well - cover by Mueller and negative election results some of them actually want for their own party...will Trump voters give them the latter?
Anyone connected to either Jeb or Mittens is suspect. (That includes Paul Ryan) This guys a Never Trumper for sure. Pure GOPe. Eff him!
I think the Democrats are whistling past the graveyard in 2018. Polls showing a Dem lead are meant to push a result not report on a trend. The closer we get to Nov. the closer the race will become.

I just watched a CNN video with a bunch of middle-aged evangelical Trump-supporting women who were interviewed after the Spermy Daniels/"In The Pooper" Cooper sliming.
To a woman, they said it was just a ploy to "get Trump", and they didn't give a rip about Spermy or the other dum cumpsters.

Never “talk” to federal law enforcement. Even if you are not under oath they can accuse you of “lying” if anything you say is at variance with another source. They are not you friend; on the contrary they are just looking for another skin to nail to the wall.

I see your points, both posts- and have a similar skepticism
about Session’s “secret” prosecutor having the IG hand off individual actors to him so he can present to a Grand Jury and indict-— want to believe it would be concurrent with the “outings” the last 6 months and represent at least “some” of the critical people under sealed indictments.
Want to believe it (even per the treehouse optimism)- but the mormon “line” is self protecting itself- with or without the huge NSA facility in Utah as an “outpost” listening station- ex compartmentalized from the bad actors meddling elsewhere ... like in MD.
Notably, some of the known actors are strangely both lawyered up and .... thus silent. Perhaps because indicted. Or maybe they’ve been flipped and spilling their guts. It is not going well for comey, and one could only speculate about Huma and Hills.
