Fox News stands by Laura Ingraham, rails against ‘intimidation efforts’ of advertiser pullout

Fox News called the campaign to drive advertisers away from Laura Ingraham’s show “agenda-driven intimidation efforts,” as the network showed support for the embattled host.

“We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored,” Fox News co-president Jack Abernethy said in a statement Monday to multiple newsorganizations.

“We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children.”

Ingraham is off the air of her TV show, “The Ingraham Angle,” this week on a preplanned vacation, Fox News told The Washington Post Saturday.

“...If anybody should get the axe its Shrimp Smith.”

I listened yesterday to this lefty rail against Trump and about puked. Every chance he gets. The trash can would be a good place for his ilk. Maybe FOX has a ‘token quota’. Hard to say.

My first instinct was to tell Laura to get back on air on her TV show next week and, burn this little “Satan” a new butt, right where it will hurt him the most.

But.....the best thing she should do is to ignore him completely and the companies that said they are boycotting the “Laura’ show. None of them have any impact...they are lost at sea and have nary a clue how to function in the real world of life.

This “Fifteen Minute Of Fame”, wise punk, David Hogg has had his moment...tracking the wrong provokers of this massacre, murder of seventeen innocents. He should be hounding Democrat Party, Debbi Wasserman Shultz, Poster Boy, Broward County, Florida, Sheriff, Scott Israel, his cohorts, all the public servants of Broward County that failed their kids in not preventing this horrible incident from occurring and the FBI low life that did not perform their public service to protect and defend the innocent.

The Democrat, Independent & Republican voters in Broward County, Florida who voted for these low life Democrats should look in the mirror because they, themselves, share the responsibility of killing their most precious gifts from God Almighty...their kids. Shame on everyone of them that remains silent in placing the blame where it rightly belongs.

He’s just a tool. Once his name is done, they will milk another one of his “team” for publicity.

These Media Matters IDIOTS think they got rid of BOR because of the advertiser boycotts but it wasn't

BOR was damaged goods, FOX had to let him go, it wasn't because of some advertisers fleeing lol

No No No! We want tedious. We want bitter, vitriolic and hateful. We want to keep the Camera Hogg right in front of the public until November. Every bitter profanity laced tirade is a gift to us in the November elections. For goodness’ sake don’t ignore him. Keep responding to him and give him lots of attention. The little creep is the greatest asset the Republicans have.

Amazing how disparate sponsors suddenly agreed to cave rather than be labelled with that dirty name “conservative.”
Someday they will agree that it was right for Amazon and Barnes & Noble to totally ban books by William F. Buckley, history books about the founding fathers and anything with an image or likeness of a Republican.

It seems to me companies that want maximum advert exposure will be lining up to fill those cowards slots, my guess is that has already happened hence FNC’s support for Ingram.

Foolish move by the boycotting companies to begin with.

Cutting themselves off from half or more of the cable audience.

It's not a good business practice or a wise move for a company selling dog food to alienate half of it's customer base because of their political views.

They forgot why they are in business and the shareholders should hold management accountable.

When the boycotters do come back to FOX to advertise on Laura's show FOX should boost their fees.

FOX has something they need more than they have something FOX and FOX viewers need.

There are plenty of other companies selling dog food, furniture, diet plans and chocolate.
But there is only one news/opinion cable TV channel with a large conservative viewership.

Spot Fn On. This should go viral

Place blame where it PROPERLY belongs. The shooter and those who provoked him and those that failed to act

So Fox protects Ingraham, who stupidly apologized to a mob, but fired Bill Shine for daring to say (accurately) that Hannity, O’Reilly, Ailes, Suzanne Scott and himself were the fab 5 that built Fox and its ratings? I only watch Hannity, Tucker and Fox Business now. The Murdoch spawn are ruining what Ailes built.

They really undermined themselves when they made her apologize in the first place.

Yes it is a contradiction. I'm glad Fox is standing up against efforts to intimidate now, but the earlier apology is an embarrassment.

Good to see Fox stand up to bullies. If advertisers told them to shove as well they would quickly find out that the bullies were all bark and no bite.

Those companies are just morally wrong in what they’re doing....Most of them are companies which require long term customer dealings...

Fox doing the right thing.

After doing the wrong thing. I doubt Laura apologized on air of her own volition.
