There is no shortage of refineries. If there was they’d be making mint and supply would be falling short of demand. Not saying a few more wouldn’t help but the single biggest component of retail gas prices are taxes. After that it’s regulatory burden or the price of oil.

If you Factor in just taxes and inflation, gasoline is a historical low prices. Excluding the idiotic ethanol and botique gas blends because their is no accounting for stupid.
