President Donald Trump blamed former President Barack Obama for “catch and release” policies that allowed more illegal immigrants to remain in the United States. “President Obama made changes that basically created no border,” Trump said, criticizing the “so weak and so pathetic” laws for immigration enforcement.
He said that the caravan of illegal immigrants traveling from Honduras through Mexico made him sad.
“The caravan makes me very sad — that this could happen to the United States when you have thousands of people that decide to just walk into our country, and we don’t have any laws that can protect it,” he said.
Trump cited reports that the latest caravan was breaking up in Mexico, giving credit to its tough immigration laws.

I think catch and release pre-dates Hussein. What Hussein did was put it on steroids and scattered the vermin throughout the country.

After you catch an OTM, if you can't process them, you have to give them an order appear for their hearing, then release them.
In the case of the children, they can't be put in jail cells, they have to be held in a "home-like" setting.

Trump is clearly negotiating with Congress. And it’s better that he negotiate with Congress first and only resort to unilateral actions when Congress fails to deliver.

This refugee caravan could be the biggest present President Trump could ask for. Notice you don’t see any democrats running to the microphones sticking up for these “dreamers”.
