By all accounts, he would have been drunk even at 2:30am? Did the manager comment on this? I mean let’s take either of his stories. If he actually knew about the car going over the bridge, at 2:30 AM wouldn’t he have looked like h*ll? How did he act?
I contend, that he knew nothing about Mary Jo. I contend that he simply got out of the car and had her drive. Where he went who knows, but I suspect he couldn’t find her or his car, so by 2:30 am he finds himself back at the hotel. He probably took one of the many dingys on the shoreline there.
