Tonight San Bruno police identified the shooter at YouTube's HQ as Nasim Aghdam, a 39-year-old woman from San Diego and said there is no evidence she knew the victims or that they were specifically targeted. While the sources have not confirmed a reason behind the attack, now that her name is known we've found a number of videos from her posted on YouTube and other sites saying that she was a vegan athlete and animal rights activist.
In several videos posted over the last year or so, she angrily spoke about the company's policies, saying they were filtering her videos so they wouldn't get any more views, and she was upset over demonetization. It appears the channels have now been completely removed by YouTube, citing policy violations.

But we need Gun Control, never Leftist Control.
Yeah, these shooters seem to be leftist berserkers.

Maybe the criteria for all social media platforms should be legal/illegal.
Considering how deranged so many of these people are in society right now. There is no good reason in the United States to give up gun rights. If people in the US were peaceful, then fine. Since they aren’t peaceful like Japan, then it’s not a good idea.
Ah, an enviro-terrorist . . .
Wanted to stop the killing of animals
Killed people.
That’s a special kind of crazy.
“Hell hath no furry like ‘a vegan athlete and animal rights activist’ scorned!”
“... They prayed to be delivered from the vengeance of the squaws.
‘Twas the women, not the warriors, turned those stark enthusiasts pale.
For the female of the species is more deadly than the male.” - The Female of the Species - Rudyard Kipling
Blood thirsty vegan.
Hmmmm...I wonder what the chances are that she was an NRA member?
One thing I noticed about this person is, considering the content of their videos, they are obviously leftist. This is the core challenge leftists have. When they fear what us conservatives will do if it is easy to get guns, they are projecting. They know how THEY feel about stuff and apply it to the rest of us. And that scares them.
They don’t realize that we are a bit more “constrained” than they are.
Youtube treats the people that post videos like Dirt and keep changing the rules ,so it was only a matter of time before a nut did something
Was she possessed?
While I would not care to dispute any of the adjectives you use, people who suffer injustice naturally do feel offended, and ought to have some means of recourse. Youtube had been providing a mutually beneficial service for many people, and decided unilaterally to alter terms in a way that would benefit Youtube more. Those who already had invested time and/or money into the way they had been doing things should, out of justice, be grandfathered in.
If youtube were not an effective monopoly, one might make a good argument otherwise. One still might make a good argument. But I think they are reaping the unintended but foreseeable consequences of doing an injustice to many people, some of whom are nutjobs.
When I heard there had been a shooting at youtube the first thing that came to mind was Hank Strange, Hickock45 or some other youtube gun channel guy had finally decided to get even. I’m just glad it was a left wing nutball.
Leftists hear the batsh1t crazy militant violent antisocial rants their friends and associates make in private. They fear the violent outburst or suicide plan and think both sides are like that. Ergo ‘ban all guns’.
Diamond and Silk were demonetized, by YT, last year.
They didn’t storm and shoot up YT HQ.
Once again, the left shows the epitome of crazy.
The political left is violent!
Any chance this nut was born in America? Sounds like a Moooslim name to me.
