Indeed...it’s complacency on our side of the isle that has to be overcome. Remember back when - we were all, no matter state we were in and no matter how far away from Wisconsin we were, sitting here weeks leading up to it and the night of paying very close attention to a Supreme Court race in Wisconsin between Prosser and Kloppenburg. I even remember their names (and remember Kloppenburg declaring victory even though she hadn’t won anything - she was very narrowly leading with considerable votes outstanding and may have even fallen behind in the vote count as she was giving her ‘victory’ speech). This time around...didn’t even know about the race until after it was over. We weren’t paying attention to a lowly Supreme Court race in Wisconsin this time around...and if people had posted about it, we wouldn’t have responded to the articles probably...so this complacency is even right here on this forum where we are all political junkies, let alone among conservatives in general across the nation. The other side meanwhile is out of power and wants their power back, even taking little pieces like this will have an impact - and they are taking them. How do we overcome this?
“How do we overcome this?”
I’m not convinced that we can. :(
It usually takes losing power and the ‘Rats effing things up over the course of a DECADE or two, to get us motivated again. And having GOOD, SOLID, Conservative Candidates would certainly help!
Frankly, we don’t have the time to spare anymore.
I’m not trying to sound defeatist, and of COURSE I’ll do what I can where I can, but it is a frustrating cycle that GOP LEADERSHIP puts us in, no matter which state we’re in, and of course, Nationally.
One step, ‘FORWARD’ (Wisconsin’s State Motto) and two steps BACK. :(
