The delivery of knives bought online to private addresses is to be banned under a package of measures to tackle knife crime to be announced by the home secretary, Amber Rudd.
Knives bought online will in future have to be collected in person, with retailers responsible for checking that all buyers are 18 or older. New powers are also proposed for the police to seize banned weapons such as zombie knives, knuckledusters and throwing stars if they are found in someone’s home, and to arrest those involved.
The proposed new knife crime offences are to be subject to a consultation this autumn. They follow a Guardian investigation that found it was possible for teenagers to order age-restricted flick knives online and have them delivered to a private address without an age verification check.

Private ownership of knives completely banned. Businesses may own knives but must track them.
BTW - this was actually implemented during one ancient Chinese dynasty - villages were only allowed to have one or two knives for food preparation!

Article is a bit old.
They need sensible sharp stick control. That should solve the problem.
When the news can’t be distinguished from articles in The Onion, society has gone completely off the rails.
Comedians used to be the first line of defense against nonsense like this, but now Trump has addled their brains beyond usefulness and there’s no check on what idiots are allowed to implement.
I suppose hammers will be next. Seems like the next logical alternative to a knife. It’s funny that we’re still allowed to buy cars after terrorists began running over people, and Boeing should have been put out of business after 9/11.
Do they have an NKA to demonize?
