Well, the felony murder rule requires a murder if I understand it right. There’s no murder here that I can see.
1990 eight yr old Nikki Read was Beat, RAPED, strangled with her own shoelaces till unconscious, tied in a blanket, thrown off a dock to drown. Perp has had 2 jury trials, still appealing his DP sentence on the same grounds that have been denied, still sitting on TN Death Row. 28 years still NO JUSTICE.
Death penalty cases have a whole other layer of costs due to appeals of the least BS legal grounds.
