Trump signs memo ending 'catch and release' immigration policy

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Friday ordering the end of a policy, known as “catch and release,” in which illegal immigrants are released from detention while awaiting a court hearing on their status.
As part of the memo, Trump asked Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to produce a list of military facilities that could be used to detain illegal immigrants.

What an incredibly short, incomplete and completely MISLEADING article. The mainstream media lacks all shame.
The memo he signed didn’t “end catch and release”. It asked his departments to come back in 45 days with suggestions for ending the crappy policy. So, hopefully, they’ll get on this ASAP and the Trump administration will be able to QUICKLY implement the end of the policy.
ONCE “CATCH & RELEASE” IS ENDED, NEW ARRIVALS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WILL PLUMET!

Why not build a prison along the border? Double concrete fence 2,000 miles long, 40 ft high and 8 ft wide. Some might call it a fence but it’s just a prison. We can play with words too.
