This looks like one of those situations where the spokesperson comes to the mic and says (a la the time when the speeding train jumped off the rails in Philadelphia):

But it’s an ongoing investigation;
So we won’t comment on the situation
Until we have further information.”

about 15 years ago, some young "kid" stole a general aviation plane and flew it around the Frankfurt airport, Europe's busiest, essentially shutting it down, until he landed, all but out of gas.
The news reader finished the story brief "...landed safely, and was taken into custody without incident. The alleged suspect is thought to have psychological issues."
"Wir haben nur ein einleitend Zeugnis.
Aber diese Erforschung fortsetzt.
Also, wir sagen Sie nichts
Bis wir haben mehr Information."
