I recall that it was the male Broward guys cowering outside, and female cops from the neighboring city or county blew past the “men” to enter the school.
Probably best to stop repeating your version until you check the facts.
It was officers from the Coral Springs PD. I've never seen a mention of gender.

I only made a SWAG based on a much earlier post(earlier as in near the time of the incident) about the Capt. that told the troops to NOT enter despite the department policy to confront. I don’t think I mentioned the Coral Springs LEOs at all. The italicized piece you posted is not mine and even at that the opening does not state a fact, just a recollection of the events as reported at the time. I do recall a mention of gender from a report put out way back when. In any case, thanks for the link showing the gender of the person who apparently violated department policy.
