Speaking of the Queen ......."a toast to you" from The Thomas Crown Affair

Russians are just jealous. They killed the Romanovs, and now have Bolshevik leftovers and oligarchs from the Moscow circus representing them.
Sad.

QE2 will be 92 years old in a couple weeks. Her Majesty can drink as much as she she wishes.

The queen stumbles drunkenly into a bar and orders a scotch whiskey from the bartender. He hands her one and she spills in on his shoulder. "Hey watch it", he said. The queen pauses and says "I dub thee sir bartender".
OK, crappy joke. I just made it up.

What kind of moron would be jealous of someone else having a monarch? Laughable.

"For decades Queen Mother Elizabeth (1900-2002) was without a doubt the most loved part of the British Royal Family. The mother of the United Kingdoms current queen Elizabeth II became a national icon. She gained sympathy as she made her insecure husband George VI a good king, gave people hope in World War II and lost her husband half way her life."
"After the early death of George VI in 1952 she started her role as Queen Mother, the matriarch of the Royal Family, and lead the British monarchy through many serious crises. Always with a daily intake of at least 8 units of alcohol, according to modern standards she would be labeled as a heavy drinker.
Still the Queen Mum lived to see 101."

Nobody laments the loss of tradition more than Russians do.
Russia: Monarchist Nostalgia Remains Powerful
https://www.rferl.org/a/1071729.html
(Article was written in 2006 though, now Soviet nostalgia is more en vogue.)
Practically speaking. With regard to UK, consider this: Forbes reports the British monarchy “contributes nearly £1.8 billion to the UK economy” annually, including £550 million in tourism.

The Russians really are acting more than a little unhinged at the moment.
They appear to even be suggesting that Theresa May has a problem with alcohol because he likes the occasional brandy.
This is Theresa May, the vicars daughter whose idea of being naughty and wild in youth was running through a farmer’s wheat field.
These Russians always go that little bit too far with their fantastical allegations, don’t they?
This whole Skripal thing has really got them rattled. They have become far too used to getting away with things.

Is this more propaganda meant to incite the Brits to military action against Russia?
The drums of war are beating so hard.
