Has the California backlash against liberal craziness finally begun?
Fox News ^ | 4/8/18 | Peggy Grande

In a state consumed by conservation and environmental issues, one highly endangered species has long gone unnoticed and unprotected – the California Conservative. Is it still possible to rescue them from the brink of extinction? Can their numbers be revived? And can they thrive here once again? While the nation continues to view California as a homogeneous voting block of individuals in lock step with an increasingly progressive liberal agenda, for Common Sense Californians up and down the left coast state, there’s a sense that a different tide is rising. The ripple began in Los Alamitos where the city council voted to opt out of California’s sanctuary law. And it was followed by Orange County who voted to join the U.S. Department of Justice in challenging the state’s sanctuary city laws. This decision was echoed by the city of Escondido and later this month San Diego County will also vote to join their ranks in this federal lawsuit. Other municipalities are lining up to consider doing the same. California has always been the tip of the spear. Often the genesis of art, influence, ideas, style and entertainment, we also take the lead in ways that are less admirable with high state tax, high gas tax, high costs of living and housing, an out of control homeless problem in our urban areas, declining test scores in schools, increasingly inaccessible and cost-prohibitive health care, and many of our major cities often appear on lists of the least-livable cities in the U.S. A supermajority of Democrats at the state level has presided over a tragic decline in virtually every statistic and has championed expensive and detrimental ideas such as the multi-state tax, a failing high speed rail project and of course the most recent sanctuary state status.

Most liberal/leftist Californians are too stupid, drugged, or Marxist to see what is happening to their state. Sort of like the French aristocracy in 1789.

My wish is that they get a “peoples revolution” against them. The San Andreas fault needs filling so let the body dumpings begin.

Revolutions can be beautiful if done right. Ask the British about that “if done right” bit.

My city RIGHT NOW is recalling ALL city officials and the recall election is May 1st...

Expect one single judge to "adjust" that election.

California white voters were solidly Republican in the 2012 election.

From memory - Romney 53% - Obama 45%

Unfortunately, the non-white voters are 80% Democrat.

I have not seen a detailed break down of California voters in 2016, so I don't know how well Trump did with white voters.

Trump admin should start the planning for removal of defense contracts, government cloud contracts, military bases, government labs and other federal facilities out of California because it has become a lawless sanctuary.

That will get voter attention.

The economy of California right now is absolutely floating on low cost illegal alien labor. And like the South a century and a half ago, they aren't going to give up their cheap imported labor without a fight.

Great post. The Democratic Party has become the cheap labor party--and since no politician likes to admit they love cheap labor--the party of pathological liars.

Are the forgotten men and women of California finally mad as hell and not going to take it anymore?

Sounds like MAGA is coming home to roost in the Golden State...

They will just answer something like: White people bad; indigenous people good. Hint: It does not have to make sense.

They vote for libs because libs are for raising income taxes. The wealthy can afford to structure their income, and hire lawyers and accountants to get around tax law.

If the Dems were really serious about sticking it to the rich, they’d support a wealth tax.

But Dems never do that, do they....

Trump is a victim willing to fight back, he’s becoming an American hero. The more they strike out the stronger he gets. Subsequently the leftists are relegated to having to drag out some old porn star to attempt to bring him down.

The other 49 would be way better off if CA seceded.

“Are there enough of us overcome the 6 SF Bay Area counties that typically vote 80% Democrat as well as the large number of illegal aliens that get to vote?”

Too bad there is no US Attorney General to crack down on illegals voting.

The only sustainable modern societies in the world are in Western areas that have limited immigration. With low birth rates they have been able to maintain their environment as well as standard of living. Switzerland is an example of this, Australia a little less so. America’s population without immigration in the last 50 years would be 250 million, not 330 million.

[I've always maintained that California could turn red again.

I'm old enough to remember when the Deep South was considered lost forever to Republicans.

Now it is a GOP stronghold.

So things change.]” Down the road it does not bode well for our Southern friends with all the Blue State liberals moving out of their Blue State hell holes to Southern States but voting for the same things that drove them to move in the first place!

CA is gone. It will become part of Mexico before it returns to red. Demographics are destiny. It’s not 1965 anymore.

Of course, but all that is irrelevant. The cities control and all of you that are conservative are in effect political slaves with no effective political power or means to control your destiny
