Nailbiter, Congress has SNAP shoved into the farm bill so the country can feel good about passing a huge farm bill...or feel really angry because they believe the farmers are getting a trillion dollars. Just to recap: 80% goes to SNAP!!!!
Next we can take a look at the subsidies that get paid out, of which a huge % goes to people who live inside the beltway.

hence heavy sarcasm on post

40yrs back went to see a Christian comedienne, at beginning of show had everyone standup then had said to reach into pocket of person in front you and take their wallet and money- His take on govt- my opinion has not changed much from that time- if at all it has gotten worse.

I tell people I know ,that I have more respect for stickup artists, than politicians, at least you know the intent of the stickup artist- with politicians you know they are going to take your money just do not know how

I’ve made the request to both Nebraska’s senators, in person and by written letter, at least half a dozen times over the course of 13 YEARS to separate the SNAP portion from the Farm portion. I always get the same reply, no matter who holds the office ... Well, we cannot do that because the Democrats will never pass the bill.

Lets see: we have a Republican majority in both houses of Congress, and a Republican president ... Of course, BITCH McUseless is owned by “BIG whatever,” (BIG AG, BIG PHARMA, USCC, etc) so he’ll never do anything to end the filibuster and allow a simple majority vote - worthless POS that he is. However, that is no reason for senators from AG states to stop trying to split the “Farm” bill into two stand-alone entities.

Of course they won’t - because the dirty truth is that the AG states are likely getting a kickback from the federal welfare scam.

The way I see it, farmers and ranchers should be made to take the same risk as the rest of us. If they can’t accept the odds, then they should not be in the business of agriculture. The AG sector should be treated no differently than any other. But, of course, they have this arrogant self-serving notion that the world revolves around them, and that their sh*t smells like freshly baked cinnamon buns.
