GOP Sen Grassley: ‘It Would Be Suicide’ to Fire Mueller – ‘POTUS Ought to Have Confidence in him’
Breitbart ^ | 4/10/2018 | Ian Hatchett

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) stated it “would be suicide” to fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller and President Trump should have “confidence” in Mueller.

Grassley said, “I have confidence in Mueller. The president ought to have confidence in Mueller. And I think…it would be suicide for the president to want, to talk about firing Mueller. The less the president said on this whole thing, the better off he would be, the stronger his presidency would be.”

Grassley also praised Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ work and argued the president shouldn’t put the Senate through another confirmation battle.

My new nickname for the good Senator — Gullible Grassley.

Anyone have a bridge they want to unload?

Why should anyone have any confidence in Mueller, Rosenstein or any of the other swamp dwellers?!

Confidence in Mueller?
Sure, confidence that Mueller will put the proverbial knife to the neck and keep it there for the remainder of the president’s first term.

Surely Grassley cannot be this naive, or I have misjudged him
the same way I misjudged Jeff Sessions and Trey Gowdy.

Maybe Grassley has more facts and knows (much) more, than we do.

Praying so.

Grassley want Trump to have confidence in someone who is frantically trying to find something/anything on him, just to save his own behind? Says a lot about Grassley.

[[Grassley said, “I have confidence in Mueller. The president ought to have confidence in Mueller.”]]

Yeah, because i mean, it’s not like mueller is going Way Way beyond the scope of the investigation in an effort to find some dirt, any dirt, even fictional dirt that might reflect badly on trump or associates or anything!

Honestly my support for Trump is shrinking between him not firing anyone and signing the Omnibus spending bill. Either fire them or stop complaining on Twitter.

Excuse me but Sen Grassley needs to get his head out of his arse.

There’s no constitutional support for a “Special Prosecutor” or a “Special Counsel”.

The HOUSE is the ONLY body constitutionally assigned to impeach (formal charges) a high government official (US Const. Art. I, Sec. 2, Cl. 5). Thus, it should be the HOUSE that hires investigators and prosecutors for impeachment issues. If there is reasonable suspicion that FBI officials are corrupt, then the HOUSE should investigate and charge if/when probable cause is found. After impeachment, the Senate, which is the ONLY body constitutionally assigned to try impeachments (Art. I, Sec. 3, Cl. 6), should continue investigation if necessary.

If it’s for federal crimes done by lower government officials or those not currently in office, then the FBI/CIA should investigate and indict if probable cause is found. The first step in this case is cleaning up the FBI’s own house.

The whole concept of a “special prosecutor”/”special counsel” is convoluted. The DOJ is part of the Executive Branch reporting to the President. There is an obvious conflict of interest with a “special prosecutor” assigned by the Executive Branch to investigate the executive Branch.

MAGA means RESTORING our Free Constitutional Republic. We MUST get back to the Rule of Law of the Constitution over the feds. It is precisely the relentless attacks and tyranny of the Delusional Lying Left that we must just as relentlessly pursue reestablishing the Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land - the ONLY legal protection against the tyranny of the whims of the Rule of Man.

Folks need to understand:

The Republican Party, including all of its senior leadership, wants Trump out!

They will collaborate with Democrats, Media or any other nefarious entity to make that happen.

The ONLY support Trump has resides in us.

Which makes the elite hate him even more.

Trump is on a steep learning curve - not only in identifying what the Deep State really is, but also what is constitutional despite what he’s probably being told by his counselors.
