Moscow will shoot down any U.S. missiles fired at Syria and retaliate against American launch sites, the Russian ambassador to Lebanon has warned.

Ambassador Alexander Zasypkin made the comments on Tuesday while speaking on the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Manar TV channel, Reuters reported.

President Donald Trump is currently considering military action against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad following Saturday’s suspected chemical attack on the rebel-held town of Douma near the capital city of Damascus. Medical relief groups say the attack killed dozens of civilians.

Depends. Tit for tat doesn’t have to escalate that far if tits and tats are relatively equivalent to each other, but someone has has to be the one to stop at some point or the escalation will grow.

Problem we have is, if we let Assad (and Russia obviously at this point, or they would be so hardline on it) get away with using chemical weapons without a response, it will happen again and/or more frequently

If we do start shooting, we risk it getting out of control and WWIII commences.

Considering the Russians can't even force a decision in Ukraine where they have a land border, Russia is no longer capable of WWIII.

It's not 1977 anymore.

> gotta keep sticking our noses everywhere while our own country turns to shit

When you have to duck for cover behind a dumpster because some thug wantonly shoots up the street, pray to God for mercy, and truly wonder what it’s like to be dead, all this occurring within sight of MLK’s tomb and its eternal flame, I wager that’s a sign it’s time to focus on our own selves.

Hey, are the Russkies still saying Skripal’s daughter was kidnapped by England? You’ve got some nerve talking about propaganda when you push info from Russia, number 142 for freedom of the press.

Also, it’s not “put up or shut up”, your Russian diplomat was begging us not to bomb but of course, we won’t see that posted.

Very bad false flag put together by McCain’s ISIS ‘Moderate’ buddies to put this on Assad. Clever those Russian handlers of McCain. Use him until he’s really really sincerely.... dead.

The fight isn’t in Syria.

The fight is in our own country.

This gas was dropped from the sky, only Gasser ISIS Al Assad has this capability.

https://historyxisis.com/2017/01/18/did-assad-really-help-build-isis-an-examination-of-the-evidence/

Let’s not forget, Paper Tiger Putin made all of these big warnings, he’ll huff and he’ll puff when their ambassador got killed in Turkey, now he’s helping the Turks build a nuclear plant.

And, the Syrians and Russians have vacated Syria’s airfields, so they certainly believe something could happen versus the idiotic post #1.

Hate to get things escalate over a sh**thole we don’t need to be involved in.

Right. As Pat Buchanan said about political correctness—it is not worth dying for.
We don’t need tp play chicken like a teenaged James Dean in a hot rod. Let the middle easterners fight for their own country like Washington’s men with bloodstained rags on their heads and limbs.

Have you all seen the footage of the chemical attack? My teenagers have made better videos on their phones...

How was the acting though?

Those White Helmets did win an Oscar...

What nonsense.

People are saying “I am not convinced...” - well, who CARES if YOU’RE convinced? If Trump shoots missiles over there, that means HE’S convinced, and - you know, he just MIGHT have information that you are not privy to.

As for the base abandoning him if he does this ... yeah. Sure. We all LIKE to see little children choking to death. How DARE he try and stop such a thing!
