As Trump fumes, senators craft a bill to protect Mueller

Four senators — two Republicans and two Democrats — are taking a step to protect special counsel Robert Mueller's job as President Donald Trump muses about firing him.

Legislation offered on Wednesday by Republicans Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Democrats Chris Coons of Delaware and Cory Booker of New Jersey would give any special counsel a 10-day window to seek expedited judicial review of a firing.

It would have to pass the senate and the house with a veto proof majority. Trump should veto it anyway just to tie the congress ups in veto override so the voters know who to primary out!

I’m of the opinion that Mueller, knowing that he has nothing approaching “Collusion with Russia to affect the election” has now added “trolling for a firing” to his limitless menu of unrelated investigations of anyone and everyone.

If he get’s fired, Trump looks awful (to the vast uniformed) and it’s a win. Perhaps an even better result for the Left than the steady drip of BS charges and leaks that is Mueller’s current gift to our nation.

It’s the vast majority of Americans who need to wake the hell up and realize their elected politicians and all the bureaucrats in DC are the proverbial “foxes” in the hen house who are out to transform this country into something that we don’t want to be.

A slime ball has more integrity than Graham. President Trump is what pervery Graham could never achieve, in spite of all his efforts, and like the little queen that he is, he is filled with spiteful envy. Hope his extracurricular recreational activites don’t catch up with him /s

Sorry, ex post facto law. Would apply to any future special council, but not any current ones.

Or so I dream in my fantasies.

Trump is never going to remove Mueller without congress urging him to do so. That would be like a CEO firing the CPA in the middle of an audit. All it would do is raise alarms that there’s something to hide - the board of directors would insist on immediately hiring another CPA firm and starting the audit from scratch.

What is needed is for people call their senators and representatives and say they are sick and tired of wasting time and money on a stupid witch hunt.

Mueller got appointed at the insistence of congress and that’s the only way he’ll get “unappointed”.

I’m sure Trump would love Mueller to be gone, but niether he, or Sessions, or anyone in his administration is going to fire him until congressmen are begging for the investigation to be closed - as loudly as they originally begged for it to be opened.

That’s just the way it works. Unfortunately.

I think Flimsey Tinkerbelle hates Trump just for being a married heterosexual with children.

I’ve voted against Graham since 2002. I hate that little queer.

McConnell, get your members in line.

You think they're not doing Turtle-face's bidding?

“Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg and owlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

“Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.”

The simple answer is that South Carolina has open primaries and no voter registration by party.

Dems get to select the Republican nominee of their choice.

Been watching Flimsey get reelected without my vote since ‘02.

If he would be removed for nothing

The Swampocrats have their fair chance to remove him in 2020. Anything else; any attempt at impeachment, for example, must at this point be considered an attack on the Presicency, on the Constitution, and on We the People. I call it treason.

Perhaps Trump needs to send a bunch of agents to do no-knock raids on every Senator’s lawyer and seize all their privileged files. Then maybe they’ll see that this isn’t a good thing to let happen.
