I am disturbed by all of the cheering going around here over Ryan’s retirement. This is not good news and the ideological purists need to keep their dogma on a leash for a minute while considering the real world consequences of this. Ryan’s departure just drastically raised the odds of losing the House in November. Which in turn drastically increases the likelihood of impeachment.
