Just demonstrating I believe it’s wise to double check before making a statement like “being baptized for the remission of sins isn’t in the NT”.
Had a like conversation with a priest once - a great guy and good Christian - who recounted to me someone telling him the word “Catholic” isn’t in the bible and his response was the word “Christian” wasn’t in the bible.
I cited at keast two instances where it was. Not to embarrass him, but just to inform him so he wouldn’t make that same claim again to someone who was antagonistic to Catholics.
