Reading this thread that is something I wonder about also.

Yeah, I get the sale e-mails - today's was called the "Spring Black Friday" sale. First time I'd heard that used as an advertising hook.

I was there this morning to get a few of their .50 Cal. steel ammo can clones. My old Army-Navy Surplus shop closed not long ago - interstate is being widened and the frontage roads are being pushed back, displacing some older strips of retail shops. Hope they find a new place to reopen, but I'll have to make do with foreign copies for now. Hey, the ammo ain't gonna store itself.

Besides, I have a feeling that in some of that Chinese steel, a bit of my '66 Galaxie has come back for a visit. :-/

Sad to see what was once a Howitzer reduce itself to a popgun.

I shopped at this store in the 1960s. Still remember the Candy Shop area toward the middle of the store and that great chocolate smell. Other department stores had them as well.

Their double-dipped chocolate covered peanuts were the gold standard.

I picked it up today and filled up a couple of curby bins with cardboard and Styrofoam.

It took longer to unpack and clean up than anything else.

I’m impressed with the cabinet and could see a couple more. My garage could support three. I’d let my wife take over one if she wanted.

A 13mm and a 9 or 10mm for the casters and handles. The trays snap in.

One person can handle it but I’d recommend two. It’s kind of awkward to put back upright.

Sad. It would an interesting read if some MBA type did a thesis on why Sears climbed, stalled, spun, and is now just a few feet above the ground still in that spin.

It was probably MBA's that did the company in, I watched them destroy Hughes Aircraft Company.
