The glee was palpable in the right-wing corners of the Internet and media at the news that House Speaker Paul D. Ryan (R) was leaving at the end of the year. There, Ryans departure was greeted not with hand-wringing but celebration, as if it were a Super Bowl victory.
We WILL NOT miss Paul Ryan, one Twitter user with more than 20,000 followers bellowed this week. President Trump is the one who truly loves this country, who loves the people of this country, and we give ZERO flying flips what you think.
GOOD RIDDANCE, Trump loyalist and Fox News commentator Sebastian Gorka thundered on Twitter.

With friends like Ryan, who needs enemies.
Conservatives might be happier to see him go than liberals are.
The compost finally got one right.
Consider who those enemies really are, that they will kill and not just steal and cheat and lie.
There comes a point if you can work with someone some of the time it’s a LOT better than having an increased abundance of folks not adverse to you accidentally going to bed with your pillow tightly down over your face, as happened to Scalia.
Talent wasted. A crying shame.
He had a choice. He made the wrong decisions.
I had heard such wonderful things about him and, so, was delighted when he was picked for Romney’s ticket.
Then I watched good old idiot Joe Biden clean his clock in their debate and knew we had all been sold a bill of goods.
Ta-ta
Yep, good riddance to Paul Ryan. Leave this month, go now!
He was a rising star, a real budget hawk, and then was exposed in the 2012 race, pushed around by the old drunken perv Biden in the VP debate. Really disappointing in the aftermath.
Will Paul Ryan be wearing his muslim solidarity beard when he leaves?
There was a book called “The Young Guns of the GOP”. The “Young Guns” were Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor and Kevin McCarthy.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Republican’s choose McCarthy for Speaker of the House.
Pushed around? More like he took a dive for the globalist cause.
The Compost had no need to put “globalist” in quotes.
Irrespective of what one thinks of Ryan, and I have to say that my opinion of him has gone up since he announced he’s leaving Congress and stepping down as Speaker, it may be that the reason he and others are leaving is because they believe Trump will be reelected. Not that they all don’t ‘like’ him, but because they know that a big upside of what they signed on for, including many ‘perks’, will not exist while he is President.
America urgently needs a new direction. But who will provide it? The time has come to move the country forward with a clear agenda based on common sense for the common good. There is a better way.Sounds more like leftist claptrap than anything conservative.
Thanks for the clarification.
Bush League Republicans need to become extinct politically.
Both parties cannot represent the illegal aliens, somebody has to represent the citizens.
You guys give Biden too much credit. Ryan was no great shakes, but Slow Joe wasn’t any Einstein either.
It’s just that we were so used to seeing Biden be a complete imbicile that him making even a slight attempt to be coherent seemed somewhat of a surprise.
Ryan exploited the Trump sea change to serve himself. He’s a calculating scumbag.
