a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

If the FBI had done their job in the first place Hillary would not have been nominated. They were trying to run out the clock and lost. They forgot bout daylight savings.

Comey notes here that he had assumed from media polling that Clinton was going to win.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is he trying to say that the FBI looks at polling data to see who should be charged with a crime? If you are ahead in the polls you don’t need to investigate? What a jagoff.
Mainly I get the more a player on the Left is showcased the less they are liked by the general public.
Comeymania won’t last a weekend before the powers to be on the Left give him the hook.
Donald J Trump
James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH. He is a weak and.....
....untruthful slime ball who was, as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. His handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case, and the events surrounding it, will go down as one of the worst “botch jobs” of history. It was my great honor to fire James Comey!
When someone at Comey’s former level of security writes a book, doesn’t someone from the government have to approve the entire book before it’s published? Can Hillary do that in her official capacity as former 1st Scorned Lady-Senator-Secretary of International Disasters & Fundraising?
I share your view that Comey’s book will backfire on him. Much of the Left in fact blames him for sinking Hillary, while the right has even bigger issues with him. Some bulk-buyers will prop him up but the accolades will be few. His poorly written me-me-me tome chocked with petty, navel-gazing gossip is not the gift Trump-haters were hoping for.
"the former FBI Director worried that the DOJ would “screw around” on whether to issue and indictment or not. Either way, he knew that any decision was going to be viewed as political. There was no winning this one"
This is exactly where Comey exposes himself as nothing but a cowering political hack. there is, indeed, a way to win on this and every other FBI issue: Obey the Law.
The fact that Comey was afraid to do this relegates him to the dirt on the bottom of the dustbin of history. There is nothing he can write that will save him from that.
A seriously lazy imitation of a column — extensively quoting several real stories about it and then winding up with a few words of say-nothing analysis.
Pretty sorry.
Man, he’s a glib POS isnt he?
Made a list then checked it twice.
Then like Santa, he checks off who’s been naughty or nice.
Every chapter is a stocking full of coal against somebody.....to save his frickin’ a**.
I cannot believe that this man, who behaved in such an outrageous and unaccountable way during the election does not have the good sense to just stop digging. There is nothing that he has done that has not been a self-inflicted disaster.
This is the man who pooped all over Martha Stewart and deprived America of five years of wonderful organizational tips and seasonal recipes.
During the election, James Comey sowed division and confusion in a way that had to go beyond the wildest dreams of the enemies and rivals of this nation.
Why is he still talking?
You can pick up a heck of a lot about a person if you know how to read body language and fleeting little facial expressions. To be any good at seeing malevolent predation like he claims to see in Trump (the “never recoiled” quote and Comey’s weirdly autocratic quote about his wife), Comey would have had to have experienced predatory behavior. He is a very large person and I don’t see anything to indicate that he has ever been in a position to be a particularly good reader of people in this way. Comey is built to be able to detect fear-based vulnerability, and that is a very different thing.
He talks about Trump using tanning goggles (so Trump cares how he looks), having expressionless blue eyes (which is to say that Comey couldn’t read them), of Trump seeming to him like a mob boss. What Comey is reading here is that Trump is not afraid of him or intimidated by him (OK, good!)
I totally get why our president has said that it was his great honor to be able to fire Comey.
“Comey notes here that he had assumed from media polling that Clinton was going to win. He has repeatedly asked himself, he writes, whether he was influenced by that assumption: “It is entirely possible that, because I was making decisions in an environment where Hillary Clinton was sure to be the next president, my concern about making her an illegitimate president by concealing the restarted investigation bore greater weight than it would have if the election appeared closer or if Donald Trump were ahead in all polls. But I don’t know.”
Comey can weasel with “I don’t know”, but what he wrote incontrovertibly means that his decisions as FBI Director were driven by his pursuit of Hillary Clinton’s best interests. Not the Law. Not his duty. Not a fair and free election. What he writes is simply outrageous, and doubly so because his weaseling indicates that he knows he should be criminally culpable, but just has to say it anyway.
Note how focused he is on protecting Hillary AFTER the election; he was pre-positioning her defense from the taint of illegitimacy the FBI whitewash would leave. How hard is it to believe that Comey and the DoJ/FBI were pursuing the bookend to this: Strzok’s “Insurance Policy” in case Trump won — an offensive plot to undermine Trump’s presidency by illegally using the government. If any evidence was needed to justify Trump firing Comey, Comey has just provided it.
Comey deserves a LONG prison sentence.
Comey is the biggest dipshit in the world. He’s proof positive why lawyers should never run the FBI. They’re taught how to lie in law school. Only a professional law enforcement officer, with years of experience, should head the FBI. Not some unetheical shyster lawyer. I nominate Sheriff Arpio or Sheriff Clarke.
The 6-foot-8 Comey describes Trump as shorter than he expected with a “too long” tie and “bright white half-moons” under his eyes that he suggests came from tanning goggles. He also says he made a conscious effort to check the president’s hand size, saying it was “smaller than mine, but did not seem unusually so.”
What a little bitch.
If Comey’s book reminds outraged Liberals why Trump is president (although their reasoning is ca-ca), then there is some good to come of it.
Libs hate Comey. Trump supporters abhor Comey. At least Comey is tall enough to love himself. It’s all he’s got at the moment, he and his inordinately large hands
